ASACP Launches Spanish Language Website

Los Angeles —ASACP has launched a Spanish version of its website as a part of its international expansion project: ASACP.es.

Spanish being the third most widely spoken language, after English and Mandarin Chinese, was the main driver behind choosing it as the first language the site is translated into.

In preparation for the launch of the Spanish language site, Mary Gillis of M. K. Gillis Consulting volunteered her time to help rewrite the English version of the ASACP website. In addition SureFlix is currently reviewing the translated website for accuracy, according to the organization.

“We needed to streamline the content on ASACP.org in order to facilitate the translation process, Mary Gillis generously volunteered a great deal of her time to make this possible and we are extremely grateful,” ASACP CEO Joan Irvine said. “In addition we needed to make sure the translation was accurate, and appreciate SureFlix volunteering their time to review the Spanish site.”

ASACP has begun expanding internationally through its hosting of European Expansion Focus Group meetings at tradeshows and Sureflix introduced ASACP to key decision makers in Canada at an event. Last September, Irvine attended Webmaster Access Europe in Amsterdam to meet with the European Commission in Luxembourg.

The organization’s international expansion is a long-term project and the speed of this project is dependent upon companies in Europe financially supporting ASACP and volunteering their expertise as the U.S. companies have done for the last seven years, ASACP said. Current international sponsors include AWE, LiveSex, and EuroRevenue.

The launch of the ASACP Spanish language websites coincides with Irvine’s trip to the 2010 Barcelona Summit, which begins Friday.
